I'm both a wife and mom to five kids. I love fitness, cooking, and spending time with my family. You can find me baking chocolate chip cookies every Thursday... a staple in my house! I've always had an appreciate for home design and grew up watching Trading Spaces on TLC. My family enjoys an annual vacation to Alys Beach, FL. I love bringing back inspiration from our trips for the EHD team. In the office, you can find me creating content for social media, planning events, hosting new client design consultations, and being Emily's right-hand woman for many business related tasks! I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you understand what it looks like to work with the EHD team for your new luxury home!
I’m an Architecture graduate from Miami University and a proud local of the northside of Indianapolis. On weekends, you’ll usually find me antiquing, attempting DIY home projects, or walking around neighborhoods just to look at homes. I’m an Architectural Designer here at EHD. From drafting and space planning, to client presentations and material sourcing, I love being part of the design process and helping your dreams take shape in the real world.
I believe in slowing down to create spaces that nurture comfort, creativity, and connection. To me, design is less about perfection, and more about personality and warmth. Ultimately, it comes down to the way a space can make you feel at home, whatever that means to you. I’m excited to keep learning and designing, and I can’t wait to see where this job takes me next!

My background spans from residential and commercial construction to computer aided drafting and design, I enjoy building relationships with clients and vendors and wearing multiple hats at Emily Handke Design. On a personal level I'm married and have been blessed with 4 beautiful daughters. My passion for residential construction and design has led my family to move many times as we renovate homes and then sell them. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies in our theater, attending gymnastics meets, visiting my oldest daughter at Purdue, and hosting friends in our home. In the office you can typically find me working away 3D modeling our homes in Revit. I love that no two homes are the same!

I started school at St. Pius X, moved on to Cathedral High School, and ultimately ended up at Washington University in St. Louis for Architecture. If you know me from growing up you probably know me by my maiden name, Emily Treece. I always knew I wanted to do something to take my Architecture degree and utilize it in a more personal way to connect with people. As it turns out, designing a client's dream home is exactly what I was looking for. I think travel is the best way to gain exposure to new design ideas and help me think outside of the box. I've been to all 50 states and traveled to 19 countries thus far! I've used inspiration from my travels to design custom doors from Paris to luxury hotels in the Caribbean. In my free time you will find me on bike rides, trying out new restaurants, wine tasting, and spending time with my husband and two kids, Wally and Emmy. My dessert of choice is pretty much anything with cookie dough, my wedding cake was even a cookie dough cake!
